The Emir visits to the commissioned 2 X 30 MVA, 132/33 kV substation in Talata Mafara constructed by Continental Engineering.

The Honorable Emir of Talata Mafara, Nigeria was overwhelmed with joy as he saw the newly commissioned 2X 30 MVA, 132/33 kV substation in his domain.  He knew this was a solution to the power problem his people have long been expecting. He then claimed this will in no doubt transform the lives of his people as meaningful development can now begin in his domain and neighboring states.

The substation was a project awarded by the Power Holding Company of Nigeria(PHCN). During the commissioning which took place on January 2009,  the PHCN  engineers responsible for inspecting the station were very amazed at the excellent design and construction of the station. They saw that every detail of the station was carefully designed and constructed producing one of the nations most efficient substations of its caliber. In his own words, the Chief-Engineer from PHCN on the day of the commissioning said “this is the best indigenously built substation in Nigeria I have ever witnessed”.
